Graduation Day!!!!!

"I'm going to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in History Education this Saturday! and because i'm graduating Magna Cum Laude, i get a cool gold cord!"
-Mike's facebook status

Today, Mike will receive his college diploma and start a new chapter in his life.
I'm so proud of my fiancée for giving his best even when he was sick, tired or frustrated. He never gave up and always reached beyond the set goals.
He's always been a fast learner and was 0.02 points away from a perfect 4.0!
(Impressive huh?)
Not only did Mike get amazing grades, he also worked, took care of me, and participated
in several plays and a music group.

I can't wait to post pictures from today with Mike all dressed up and ready for graduation!

I love you Mike, I'm so proud of you.

I was totally excited last night when I logged on to my blogger account and saw that I now have 50 followers!

I started the Miss Yellow Shoes blog about a year ago; but it took me quite a while to get the hang of things.
(still learning)
I loved reading blogs about other crafty people and watching them upload videos, tutorials, and pictures.
(never thinking I would ever write my own)
But here I am, about a year later and with 50 regular readers!

I think this is a cause for celebration.
I'll be uploading a giveaway later today so stick around!

Mike Came to Visit Me!

My wonderful fiancée came to visit me this week-end. I was so happy. For those of you who don't know...we've had a long distance relationship from the start so every moment together is precious.
He came in late on Friday night and had to leave early Sunday afternoon, so the visit was short but terribly precious to me.

We didn't really do anything special since I was still getting over a cold; but we did enjoy each others company very much. Mom made an awesome dinner for us followed by a chocolate fondue dessert!
Mmmm....So good!

This picture is just me showing off my gorgeous engagement ring. I love it so much and I know that it will warm my heart every time I look down at it for the rest of my life.

Banana Bread (yum yum)

So I've been craving my Mom's banana bread, missing home, ready to be done with school....so in order to lift my spirits, I decided to bake some of my own!
I found a recipe from Betty Crocker and the bread pretty much turned out awesomely.
I cut the loaf in half so Mike could have some and the other half was devoured by friends who's noses lead them to my dorm room. That's okay though, I love sharing!

Anyway...here are the pictures of my loaf of happiness!

I love brown paper packages, no string though, just a sticker

Does it not look delicious

Nuts to make it extra special

Smelling my yummy yummy loaf, so happy
:-)

I think that my dorm room is going to have a baking party. There's three of us so I think we'll make Banana Bread, Apple Bread, and Chocolate Chip Bread! I'm so excited!

Write you later!
