Old Blog, New Blog

So I was sitting in bed (sick) this morning and thought... "you know what! this would be a great time to give the blog a little face lift." And it's something I could do while resting!
So here's the old...

And you are now admiring the new and cleaner looking Miss Yellow Shoes Blog!

Snowflakes minus the mess and cold

Do you remember sitting on the floor with a pair of scissors in your hand making paper snowflakes? I always loved trying to make pictures inside my snowflake; and I loved how each one was special and unique.
Well I found an online snowflake maker!
You can make any kind of snowflake that you want using diffrent folding techniques, sciccors, stamp cutters, markers, and more!
After you're finished with your little creation, go ahead and print it out. Isn't that awesome?
Here are some of my snowflakes...

DIY- Scarves

So, it snowed so much yesterday and today that they closed down campus. We weren't allowed to leave and those already gone had to call in to see when they could get back. The weather was terrible with all the wind and running form building to building in knee deep snow. Days like today make me extremely thankful for hats, gloves, boots, coats, and scarves.
Today's post is a tribute to that last one...scarves.

Here are some scarf tutorials that you can make yourself (for fashion purposes or warmth)!
