Charlie Brown

I am the owner of a fat little mutt named Charlie Brown.

(We call him Charles when he's in trouble.) 

He's lazy, eats almost anything, and I love him terribly.

My mom named him after her favorite cartoon character, and he's been her little shadow ever since. 

Even though Mom never wanted a dog, she and Charlie became the best of friends.

Whenever I'm sad, Charlie can be found scratching at my door whimpering. He loves to comfort people with little kisses and snuggles.

I know that dogs aren't people and that some just don't understand how you can "love" an animal, but Charlie is special to me and will always have a place in my heart.

To My Pooch...

This is my 9 year old puppy, Charlie.

He's a mutt, and I love him. (not more than I love you Mike)

He's getting up there in dog years and I know that someday soon I'll get a call from Mom telling me that my little bundle of fluffy happiness has gone away. But until then, I still enjoy playing with him and chasing him around the house. My family and fiancée still roll their eyes at me when I dress Charlie up or "dance" with him. I don't mind. 

The poor little guy is getting arthritis in one of his front paws. Sometimes he can't make his way up to my bed so a little whimper let's me know that assistance is needed. 

Some funnies...

"If you want the best seat in the house, move the dog."

"If your dog is fat, you aren't getting enough exercise."

(hmmm...thinking there is some truth to this one)

"There is no snooze button on a dog who wants breakfast."

Little Bit Of This And That From Home

I was thinking about home yesterday...so today is all about my home, Montreal. 

These are my awesome parents. We were walking around Montreal and it started raining. My mom covered her head with her coat and Dad decided to join her. Sooo CUTE!

I can't forget about my dog Charlie. Aww! Isn't he cute?

I miss you all and can't wait to be home for the holidays!

Baaah! Finals

So, just wanted to write a little something something to let you all know that the blog entries are going to be kinda slim for the next 2 weeks. I've got one last week of classes with a million trillion pages, projects, and papers due. The week after that I have to tackle all those lovely finals.

To make things better, I kinda hurt my back yesterday at Springfest here at Northland so I'm a hunchback at the moment. (Mike offered to build me a bell tower...how sweet)

Mike has been taking really really good care of me though, getting me ice, water, pain killers, anything I need. He's been pretty much amazing.

Anyway, I must leave you all. I will make an effort to post something every now and then; it just won't be as interesting and long as normal.
