Even though I live in Canada, I was born an American.

No, I won't be able to go to any parades or fireworks.

No, I won't be hanging out with friends and listening to patriotic music.

Today, you will find me at work with all my little daycare kids.

But, today...

you'll see me wearing red, white, blue, and a little start headband I made last night.

I've got a little treat for you!

I started doodling a little more this week and ended up with this little vintage girl in one of my notebooks.

What I've Been Up To

I honestly cannot believe that it's Saturday night already.

This week has just flown by and been packed with work, school errands, and doctor appointments.

Phew...

I need to catch my breath!

So this week I had a breakthrough with my doodles.

I figured out how to make the eyes in correct proportion to the large heads. Now my drawings have more life and character in them.

My Dad also took us out to this sweet bagel place in St.Rose where I ordered vegetable cream soup, salad, and a pizza bagel. Soooo yummy!

(I could literally live off of bagels forever)

My afternoons were full of Psych classes and creativity. I had the time to crochet 4 flower pins, sew 1 Bible cover, and make 2 star garlands. Now I just need to finish studying for a test.

(yay....fun....)

Mom and I got some of our wedding ideas organized today. 

I think that we'll be using small potted plants as centerpieces and favors for the reception.

Little yellow daisies or pansies would be perfect.

Double duty flowers also makes a happy little budget!

Oh, and did I ever show you my gorgeous engagement ring?

Yes? 

Maybe?

The claddagh ring was the promise he gave to me a few years ago when we were separate by distance.

The engagement ring follows along with the heart theme and has a beautiful blue sapphire in the middle. 

I love it so much and I catch myself dreamily looking at it several times a day.

Things I'm in love with (part 2)

Hey Guys,

So this week I have really been buckling down with wedding plans. Lately I've been making some final decisions, spring cleaning through my creative files, and nailing down all the decoration ideas. Everything from the table centerpieces to the wedding programs has gotten my mind flying with non-stop ideas.

Who knew that planning "the big day" would be so much work?

I really needed to take a break and get inspired with wedding and non-wedding things.

Happy Tuesday: Update

Good afternoon dear readers,

I know it's been a few days since I've last posted but life is full of busy crazy days isn't it?

I've missed blogger and can't wait to catch up with you guys and all my other favorite blogs.

So what have I been up to these past few days?

Well I traveled to a beautiful wedding. (yes...I cried)

Worked on my Child Psychology Class

Crocheted about a dozen pretty flowers.

Spent a week-end with my wonderful fiancee.

Watch every episode of Iron Chef America possible!!

Phew! that's a lot. 

Let's just sit back, relax, and look at something pretty together.
