Would you like a tutorial on how to make your own?

Well lucky You, that's what this post is!

First, sketch your image with a blank sheet of paper (the notebook paper with lines won't do the job).

Try not to fill in anything. Remember you'll be adding color in later so there isn't much need for shading

Next, take a picture. Make sure your camera is directly over your sketch or else you'll get some funny angles in your final piece. 

Now upload your picture to Picnik or you can also use photoshop if you like. 

Brighten up your picture like this, making sure not to make your black lines disappear. 

Now use the "doodle" in picnik to add color to your image. The possibilities are endless here so have fun!

I added a little thought bubble to mine. You can do that with the "stickers" in picnik. 

The last step is to save your image to your computer and then upload it to your blog!

Wednesday Movie- Wall-E

I love the Pixar movies, and Wall-E is, by far, my favorite one yet.

I found it interesting how the first half of the movie contained no dialog but the animators did such a good job that the the viewers can tell exactly what the robots are saying and thinking.

Obviously a robot is a machine and has no emotions or life in the real world, but giving Wall-e and Eva human features was rather cute.

The color themes used in the movie where very clever as well. The Earth has an earthy brown orange tone to it, making it seem dirty, while the spaceship was blue, white, a rather clean and futuristic look.

Despite the whole theme of "Man is killing the Earth!", this is a rather funny movie that I think is great for families and couples to watch.

I don't know about you, but I love doodling. 
It relaxes me when I'm stressed and keeps me awake in those early morning classes.

Ah yes everyone, it's Monday.

The day when we all must fight our very own bodies just to hit the alarm button.

"no no! just a little bit longer in bed!" your mind cries out. But you know that it's time to get up and take that cold shower to help you wake up, get dressed, and head out the door.

Once Monday is over though, you have something to look forward to. Just make it to Wednesday and you're halfway there!

Baby steps...just take it one day at a time.

My Dorm Room

I'm going to do a little series on my dorm room and how I've made it a little more homey and special. I'll start with my sink and mirror, please note that more pictures will be up later one this week.

One thing that I enjoy doing in coloring and doodling. So I bought some white board colored markers and every so often doodle on my mirror and windows. It's a lot of fun and you can change it up every week or season. It's great for wishing someone a happy birthday when they wake up in the morning too. One of our stand up mirrors broke so we took all the pieces and sticky tacked them all around the room on the walls. They look pretty sweet and seem like stained glass when you draw on them.
