Wedding Party and Misc.

This will be the last wedding photo post I make. I just hope that somebody out there can look at these and get some ideas for their own special day.

These are the girls reacting to something Jenni said during a game we had for the reception.
Priceless.

I heart heart heart the journalistic style of photography. Some things can only be capture on the spur of the moment. Like all off the cousins trying to fit on one bench with my poor uncle?

My dad performed the ceremony and it was pretty much awesome!

So that's that for now.
I hope that you all have a wonderful day and please feel free to e-mail me with any wedding diy questions! I'm more than happy to help a girl in need!

Yellow Country Church Wedding

We made all of our decorations and they were exactly what I wanted!

This is how I used all of those pompom flowers. I made over 20 and everyone loved them!

This is my self serve favor/wishing tree table.

We made cake pops as favors.

The guests wrote us little notes on the cut-outs and then hung them on the wishing tree.

I bought this metal basket at yard sales years ago. It was perfect for holding the throwing rice.

I made a thumbprint tree to go along with our guest book. Here's my DIY.

I drew the cartoon us myself. It took a few tries to get the doodles exactly how I wanted them.

You can see more of my doodles here.

We made all of the centerpieces and flower arrangements ourselves. It was pretty awesome to drive away from the local flower shop with a van literally full of daisies!

These country napkins were a steal. I bought them at the dollar store in Canada. How cool is that!?

Wanna hear something sweet?
The cake topper is not only a music box, but it was in my mother's wedding. And the cake cutting set? That was in my mother in law's wedding.

Stay tuned for some photos of our awesome bridal party!

Bridal Shots

My cousin did such a great job at capturing the magic of our wedding day. Don't forget to check out her photography blog here.

The dress was originally sleeveless and a size 22.
The tailor did a wonderful job at fitting it to my size (not 22!!!) and then we added lace straps from a veil.
I wanted to be modestly dressed on my wedding day and I love the touch of lace. It really made the dress 10 times prettier.

The necklace I wore was a gift from Mike. It's what he gave me the first time he said "I love you."
I've gone through many chains so my maid of honor just tied it around my neck with some leftover ribbon from decorating.

For this shot, my cousin had to stand up at the top of a slide at a park. It took a few tries, but we got it!

This is my favorite photo of the bunch. It was taken maybe 15 minutes after I said "I do" and it pretty much captures my pure joy.

Thanks for looking and sharing in my special day!
Next, I'll upload pictures of the church. You'll love the decorations!
