Date Night- Continued

So here is another picture of our date night. We really had a lovely time in each others company. Going to see "Prince Caspian" totally beats spending free time in the library. Don't get me wrong, I love books and getting ahead on homework, but after a while...a nice scenery change is greatly appreciated.

Sneek Peek- Our Date

Sigh...I'm in love!

Ahhh... what a wonderful night I had tonight.
I began my morning with some homework and became extremely frustrated with my math assignments that Mike had to help me for about an hour. He was very patient with me and onced we were done I understood all the concepts.
I then ran to work and spent several hours there and was about 20 minutes late to our pizza date.
We played Yhatzee again (so much fun) picked out some of the best seats in the house to watch the play "Prince Caspian".
It was a wonderful night and I didn't want it to end.
I will write more tomorrow and post pictures!
:-)

Night Night

Show And Tell- My Friday

We got a 3 day weekend here. I guess they gave a day of rest because everyone here is really tired and coughing. I've still got my cough. Well anyway it was very greatly appreciated.
I spent most of my day working on my English paper, then went off and had a little bit of fun.
:-)
Tonight Mike and I are going on a date (oh boy!). We're going to see a Narnian play right after eating pizza for dinner. I'm very excited!
More pictures will be up soon!

We got some yummy coffee drinks for the grind. Mmmmm! So yummy!

We also got to go ice saking. I fell down really hard on my knee once and it's sill kinda swollen.

Mike also taught me how to play Yatzee (Im not sure I spelled that right)

We had gorgeous weather here, even if it was kinda windy. The skies where blue and the sun shinning like no tomorrow.

I took this one this morning. You can't really tell, but I curled my hair and then threw it up into a pony tail with a bow. I won't really have time to "get ready" for our date tonight so I'm hoping that this will last until then.

Anyway, I'm off to start my day with brunch, homework, work, food, play, more work, then sleep!

Bye Bye!

New Layout

Please Stick With Me As I Update My Blog To Look As Cutsey As It Can Be!

Google Chrome

First off, just wanted to say that Google is not paying me for writing this (although if they would that would be pretty sweet for my school bill), but anyway if you love Firefox, and all the gadgets and what not on your current web browser but want more speed then you need to check out Google Chrome.

It's pretty cool. The free download is right here.

(click me!)

It's faster, got some nice features on it. I especially like the fact that I can chose my own "skin" for the browser and have as many tabs as I want. If I want a tab to be it's own window then I can just pull it out or rearrange them how I want. You can also take a window and turn it into a tab by clicking and dragging on it.

Try it out, I highly recommend this browser.

Poem By My Brother

I really never knew he was so talented in this area...

The family sat in the cabin around the fire,

And they all shared about their day;

After there was no more to say;

For the night they did retire.

The night was like a sea of black.

As a great white ship the Moon sailed the black sea,

Followed by an armada of white stars; what a sight to see!

The armada sailed the sea with only the sky to attack.

The glory of this armada went fourth and shined

Shined its glory through the window of Abigail;

Abigail, when grown up, would be the desire of all male;

If it had not been for the glory to which she was bind

Lying in bed, Abigail dreamt of places far away;

When all of a sudden, came the glory of the night’s light;

Which woke her and called her to follow and take flight.

She opened her window and followed the stars gaze.

The stars led her in the forest through the snow.

She climbed on fallen trees.

She walked through rivers that came to her knees.

She still followed the stars and why, she did not know.

On and on the stars went,

Until they brought her to a great foothill.

She looked up the foothill that reached the sky and went on still.

She went up to reach the stars. She would not relent.

The stars waited and called her to climb.

She commenced to scale up the top of the peak,

Tearing at the earth, holding on to every tree, she would not be beat.

She wanted to follow the stars, she had to hurry she had no time.

Stars still calling little Abigail to come and follow.

With every ounce of strength she pulls herself to the top.

She gazed at the stars and reached, but could not reach the lot.

The sun was rising and the stars started to turn sallow.

“Come with us, dear Abigail!” cried the multitude of stars.

“Distance is too great!” she shouted back .

“You have to hurry! The sun is coming.” She looked and saw it coming back.

She went to the mounts edge and looked down and the distance was far.

“Jump, we will catch you” said the stars as they flew away.

She approached the edge of the mount and hesitated.

The stars were going farther she leaped off the edge. The stars would not have waited.

Up she went reaching, but the stars did betray.

She fell down, down still looking at the stars.

They faded away as if mocking her for her incredulity.

She cried out asking for help, but the stars served unfaithfully.

She fell through the trees and on the ground there she laid looking afar.

There were no more stars sailing the sea of black.

Only the great bright sun came and shown its glory.

Shown its glory on little Abigail’s peaceful body.

Betrayed by the glory of the night’s armada, which will again, come back.

My Favorite Things - Yellow

My Saturday

So I planned to get all this homework done on Saturday but of course I my plans changed. Being way up here in the northland tundra for school, and without a car, getting to wall-mart is like going to a country fair. We try to stock up for as long as we can because we never know when we'll get to go again. So naturally, my little shopping trip took up several hours of my day.
I did get some 2 nice skirts at goodwill for 3 bucks a piece though (yes!) that was pretty exciting.
Then ran to wall-mart and picked up some other things that will help me get through the rest of the semester.
Later on Mike and I went to work, had dinner with some friends of ours (along with some awkward but funny conversations). After running back to work for another shift, Mike and I read some more in our book.
All in all, even if I didn't get much homework checked off my list, it was a good day.

Mike and I goofing off taking pictures on the sidewalk

This is me cleaning the ice cream machine in the dinning hall, I'm standing on a chair (Mike is much taller than I am when I'm on the ground)
He's so sweet, and stops by for a few minutes to help me with the heavy stuff.

The new drawing on my mirror. It's a kookoo clock (can't spell that) with "tic toc" and "time is precious" written next to it.

I'm feeling crafty

I love making things,
I get in a "zone" (kinda) when I'm making something.
I just sit on the floor of my room and spread out all my supplies and just go at it. I will sit there for an entire day (literal) if I'm really in a crafty mood.
Sometimes what I make turns out dreadfully awful and ends up in the trash but I don't think of the hours I spent on it wasted, I still find enjoyment in making things.
Also, getting into my creative zone relaxes me. Take's away stress and helps me focus on just one thing.
Anyway, gotta run to church! Enjoy the links bellow and get creative!

Bad Day?

Dear Diary...

Dear Diary,
Today I slept through my shower time, broke my glasses, was almost late for class, didn't really eat lunch because I was feeling so sick, tried to take a nap but failed when the phone rang, did my math homework, have a big test tomorrow that I'm NOT ready for, and did a boat load of English homework.
I'm super tired and probably going to wake up early tomorrow so I can get more study time in.
Oh yeah, and my lungs seem to want to come out whenever I cough.
Did I miss something? Or is today Monday?

Cough Medicine: How to take it

This stuff is nasty! I've been sick for 2 weeks now...it doesn't seem to want to go away!
Step One: Smile, you won't be for the next few minutes so make it a good one.

Step Two: Drink the seemingly yummy "cherry" flavored medicine.
Step three: Prepare for dissapointment in lack of flavor.

Step Four: Don't worry about this step, your face will naturally take over for you, and finish the great finale to your beverage!

For Him

Computer Troubles

As you all know by now, I love pictures. I take quite a few of them every day.

Last night I was trying to load some pictures onto my laptop and forgot to remove the memory card.

As I woke up today I packed my bag and hurried off to class only to find that I had (again) jammed the card into the little reading slot and couldn't get it out. I say "again" because this is what happened when I was on the plane to get back to school. I know one of the Tech guys here and he had to pull it out for me with some pliers. It was rather embarrassing, especially since all the tech guys were standing around laughing at my predicament.

Sigh...I did have some pictures I wanted to show you all, but we'll just have to wait until I can run down there and have them fix it.

BFF

I just wanted to post some pictures of my best girl friend Jenni. I've known her sine I was like 6 and I love having her with me at college. We don't see each other much because of schedules, but I love her and love being with her. :-)

The Gummy Bear Movie!

A 30 Second showing 2 gummy bears dancing then walking off together.
(I was bored)

Enjoy!

The Tiger and I

As you've seen in some of my earlier posts...I loooove to take and edit pictures. I've very much an amateur so these aren't anything professional, but I don't really care...I enjoy making them anyway.
